Heavy Equipment Training

If you’re looking for a career with real impact, the field of heavy equipment maintenance could be just what you’re looking for! Jobs in heavy equipment are in demand in many parts of the country*, and can help you play a pivotal role in important industries like construction, demolition, roadwork, and more. But you need the right training to build the skills employers want to see – and that’s where Lincoln Tech in Nashville can help!

Heavy Equipment training at Lincoln Tech, a school with a 97-year tradition of excellence, helps graduates launch careers with real impact. In fact, we recently reported that  four out of five graduates from this program got jobs in their field after graduation! The school’s relationships with industry leaders like Caterpillar help students develop professional networks and make important connections with hiring managers who need candidates in the heavy equipment maintenance field.

Heavy Equipment training leads to industry connections

Every year Lincoln Tech welcomes more than 100 employers looking for diesel, truck, and heavy equipment technician candidates to the campus for career fairs where they can meet, recruit, and even interview students and alumni. Along with Caterpillar, employers like Ryder, John Deere, MHC Kenworth, H&R Agri-Power, and other top companies have come to trust this school’s long history of success in training candidates for new careers.

With four out of five Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technology graduates going on to start jobs in the field soon after they graduate, it’s clear Lincoln Tech understands the needs of hiring managers in the field. Training is designed to emphasize in-demand skills like diagnostics and repair of engines and heavy equipment mechanical systems, and students work on tractors, bulldozers, backhoes, excavators and much more. The program is even overseen by a school alum who went on to launch his own successful career!

If you want to learn more about why jobs in Heavy Equipment are growing around the country, and what you can do to get started in this exciting, challenging career field, reach out to Lincoln Tech’s historic Nashville campus!

* Almost 29,000 positions in Heavy Equipment are projected to become available around the country by 2024, according to careeronestop.org.
